Welcome to Lit Laugh Love! I began this blog while I was a publishing student in 2012. For a year I’ve simply shared my thoughts on books I have read. Some may say I’m reserved in my tastes and others may call me erratic. Frankly, I just read whatever I’m in the mood for. As much as I love the hottest books on the market, you’ll often find me discussing old school chick-lit (is Bridget Jones old school now?) or obscure British Literature (the Billy Bunter series…anyone? anyone? Bueller?) or the love of my life, Harry Potter.

I’ll go out on a limb and say my little book nook is different from the others. It’s not about the cover reveals, the reviews, or the fun author interviews. It’s just a place where literature is loved. The pages are dog-eared, the spines are cracked, the smells are musty, and the bookshelves are overstuffed. It’s where a book from the 60s is rediscovered and gushed over despite the fact that nobody else may be reading along. It’s my way of prolonging the inevitable book hangover after finishing my latest pick. To share recommendations with friends and to find common book interests with strangers.

But allow me to go just one step further. As I was redesigning the blog, I realized that I had never put great emphasis on the Laugh and Love parts of the blog. This past year has dealt many a curveball and I’ve found myself doing a ‘redesign’ on my life. I’d love to be able to share the little things that continue to make me a stronger and happier person, be it a quote or an exercise tip, with you all.

Here’s to new beginnings, positive attitudes, and my best friends—books. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for my bookshelves. I hope you’ll always be able to take away something fun or new when you visit Lit Laugh Love. I think those words are what life is all about.

PS. Yes, as a matter of fact I do rate my books with Snitches.
